About The Joe Martin ALS Foundation

The mission of the Joe Martin ALS Foundation is to help people meet the challenge of living actively with ALS by providing free home care services.  A bit here about what the foundation means to you...  I have shared my experience with potential supporters at several events.  Here I am with Neil, my caregiver from the Foundation at a benefit last year.

This group is providing me and my family 6 hours of home care a week which would cost us over $6,000 a year if we were to hire someone.  In addition the care they are providing me at home, they also get people with ALS together to meet one another.  Here we are at the 1st Annual Cook Out To Knock Out ALS coordinated by the Foundation.  We had a great time!

Their other services include free wheelchair transportation, home accessibility evaluations, exercise and range of motion sessions and respite care.  Just this year they have created an interactive website to help people with ALS and their families learn resources and information to live actively with ALS (found at www.homelifeforpals.org) and customized in-home caregiver workshops to help those with ALS educate their friends and family on how to care for them.  All of this is done at no cost to the person with ALS or their family.

Please consider helping them continue their good work by making a donation.  Click on the logo below to learn more.

Thank you!
